Miscellaneous M- 58 Price: $6.75

Desert Rose. A natural flowerlike nodule of chalcedony found in Arizona. This is shaped like a flowing ribbon in a delicate pink. They are known for their odd shapes. Size: 2 1/2"h x 3 3/8"w x 3/4" thick. Weight: 4 oz.

Desert Rose from Arizona. A beautiful chalcedony specimen showing three seperate roses. This is natural and left just the way it was found. Just broke away from the mother rock and washed. Size: 2"h x 2 1/4"w x 1 1/4" thick. Weight: 4 oz.

An assortment of Petrified Wood Magnets. A nice collection showing various woods. The wood is tumble polished and has a magnet glued to the back of each one. These are a nice size averaging 2 1/2 to 2 1/4" long x 1 1/2" to 3/4" wide x 3/4 to 1/8" thick. Total weight for all five is 6 ozs.

"Dino Dung". A nice large polished chunk of copralite which is a fossil consisting of animal fecal matter. It is a jasper/agate with tiny pockets of crystals. Very interesting and would make a nice conversation item. No smell! Next photos show the rough outside and closeup of red pattern. Size: 6 1/4"h x 6 1/4"w x 2 1/4" thick. Weight: 3 lbs. 14 oz.

A fine chunk of Petrified Wood from Juntura area in Oregon. This is polished on the cut end which shows very fine grain and colors. There is weathered bark showing on three sides. The back is angled and comes to a thin edge at bottom of picture. Size: 2 3/4"h x 4"w x 2 5/8" to 1/8" deep. Weight: 1 lb. 9 oz.

Another view of the fine chunk of Petrified Wood from Juntura area in Oregon. This shown faced down on polished end which shows some of the bark and angle. There is weathered bark showing on three sides. The back is angled and comes to a thin edge at bottom of picture. Size: 2 3/4"h x 4"w x 2 5/8" to 1/8" deep. Weight: 1 lb. 9 oz.

My Cookbook, Gems from the Kitchen. I am a gemologist and have been a Home Economics teather, hense the title. The book has 203 pages of 547 recipes. The recipes have been collected over 50, plus years. The collection is from many sources and I put name of the person by recipe as I could remember. For anyone who cooks this is a must have. A few of the recipes appeared in the book "Best of the Best of Oregon" from Quail Ridge Press. Size: 8 1/2"h x 7 1/4"w x 1/2"thick. Weight: 14 oz.

Miscellaneous M - 44 Price: $ 10.00

Riviera Plume Agate from Mexico. This is a polished heel slice. The polished face shows plumes of cream, tan, brown and deep red. There are some pockets between some of the plume. Makes interesting cabochons. Most of the material is opaque with a little translucent agate showing. Two fracture lines near edges. Very colorful. Size: 5 1/2"h x 4"w x 1 1/4" to 1/4"d. Weight: 1 lb. 1 oz.

A matched pair of polished white skin Brazilian Agate halves. There is a cream to tan band of fortification agate around the outside and rest is quartz crystal pockets or crystal caves. No fractures, except outside edges has chipped some as it is softer material. From Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Size: 3 5/16"h x 2 1/4"w x 1 1/4"d. average for each one. Both weight: 1 lb. 1 oz.

A long chunk of Petrified Wood from McDermitt, Oregon. This is polished on one end and other end is left natural. It is belivied to be white fir. The grain is showy on this one. This is a portion of a round. The next picture will show another view. Size: 2"h x 2 3/4"w x 7 1/2" long. Weight: 2 lb. 12 oz.

A long chunk of Petrified Wood from McDermitt, Oregon. This is polished on one end and other end is left natural. It is belivied to be white fir. The grain is showy on this one and the bark shows up nicely. This is a portion of a round. The previous picture will show the end view. Size: 2"h x 2 3/4"w x 7 1/2" long. Weight: 2 lb. 12 oz.

Desert Rose. Opaque flowerlike nodule of chalcedony. These are found in Riverside County, California and in Arizonia. This is found as is, not cut or polished, only cleaned. The picture shows some pink, but it realy isn't pink. It is a frosted white. The following picture shows the back. Size: 2 5/8"h x 3 1/4"w x 1 3/4"thick. Weight: 11 oz.

Blue Mountain Picture Jasper from Oregon. This polished heel slice has a very fine pattern. Very showey. Looks something like Bruno Jasper. Something to add to your collection. Size: 3"h x 3"w x 1" thick. Weight: 6 oz.

Desert Rose from Arizona. An odd formation of chalcedony in a delicate pink. No two are alike This natural formation is left just the way it was found; except for breaking it lose from the mother rock and washing it. Size: 1 3/4"h x 2 1/2"w x 1" thick. Weight: 3 oz.
