This polished slice of Petrified Wood is a partial round section. It shows wonderful browns, tans, and cream. This appears to have been decayed and openings filled in with agate and jasper. It has a herringbone grain pattern from being squashed under earth pressure while being formed. This makes for an interesting conglomerate of patterns.This petrified wood comes from Tuscarora, Nevada and is believed to be Redwood. A very fine unusual slice for the collector. Brazilian Agate from Rio Grande de Sul, Brazil. This polished slice has delicate fortification lines and water level lines in the center. A perfect slice without any fracture lines. An interesting thing, as you can see, are two spots where mineral water seeped into the hollow nodual. The very cemter has a quartz crystal pocket. Size: 3 3/8"h x 4 1/2"w x 1/4" thick. Thick Ochoco thunderegg slice from the Ochoco Mountain area beds between Prineville and Michell, Oregon. This polished slice shows water level lines that look somewhat ocean waves. The agate center has a deep red border with a cluster of moss in upper left center. The next picture shows the moss in the lower right corner of center. Couldn't deside which direction looked better. Both are good. Size: 3 3/4"h x 5 1/4"w x 1/2" thick. Weight: 10 oz.

A SUPER polished slice of Brazilian Agate from Rio Grande de Sul, Brazil. The colorful fortification agate is from outside in a deep maroon, gray blue, yellow, lavender, with a touch of red at each end of center opening. The opening contains mini quartz crystal. A museum quality slice of agate. There are two healed fracture lines that don't go very far into the slice. Does not detract from the beauty. Next photo is a closeup of center.
